We appreciated staying here, it's modern hotel with amiable staff who are an example to other hotels as to how the principle of "Customer Service" should be conducted. The location was unbeatable and lovely, only 5 minutes walk to Hick's Art Gallery.

We had fine time at the hotel and would definitely go back. Everything was beautiful, unique property, the location was absolutely perfect not far from a wonderful, park-like garden, the surrounding mountains and the center. The service was good, no complaints whatsoever, it was just what we needed.

I booked a room with a very comfy bed, an air conditioner and a lounge. Location: the hotel was just off the center, south beach and all restaurants and shops.

The hotel is unique and clean with excellent food and well managed staff. It is in nice location to Hick's Art Gallery, set extremely close to the venue.

Had a wonderful stay with a night at the Montagu Country Hotel and would definitely return here. Everything was good, amiable staff, lovely views of the garden. The location was lovely, around 10-15 minutes walk from Montagu Museum.

Peaceful staff, breakfasts were delicious.

The family room was fantastic, included a roll in shower, a hair dryer and bath sheets. The setting was quite pleasant within easy reach of Montagu Museum.

Well-equipped and individually decorated room and large bathroom. Lots of above average and hearty breakfast options. Magnificent location to get to a main street and a national park located walking distance to the hotel.

Air-conditioned and beautifully decorated rooms with separate bathrooms and an electric kettle and refrigerators.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming hotel. The value for money was excellent, and our room was cozy and comfortable. The location was great, with peaceful gardens and a vintage car tour to explore the surroundings. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The breakfast offerings could have been improved with faster service and better attention to detail.

The hotel describes itself as providing luxury accommodation.We took the R1400 room which we considered less than ordinary.The hand basin was in the sleeping area and not in the bathroom so when you used the toilet you had to go into sleeping area to wash your hands.There was a shower in the bathroom but no bath as described in the hotel info.Our room backed onto a busy side road about 4 meters away so it was noisy.We booked a table in the dining room for our evening meal and when we came in to eat we found the table had been given to other guests. We pointed this out to the dining room staff whose response was one of indifference.The guests at the table we booked did offer to move,but we declined the offer as they were well into their meal and we did not see why they should be inconvenienced through no fault of thiers.The only other table available was in the dining room entrance next to a noisy piano. So we finished up eating dinner in the breakfast room. So overall our stay was disappointing.We have had better for a lot less money.

The Staff were most attentive . On the Garden Route and not so far from our home . The Scones at breakfast - fresh baked,still hot and homemade jam -no good for the diet !!!

I would only use this hotel for a convenient one night / journey break stay. The buildings are old - a real shame to see - what once was probably a fine hotel start to decline and need much money spent on it. But has real charm----------------

Well, it was a really unforgettable stay for service both at the pool and at breakfast. The restaurant was very nice with good food and piano player, I tried distinguished dishes. The location was nice, a 10-15 minute walk from Hick's Art Gallery. Also, the area was very nice! I enjoyed this hotel.
